Name this movie that is similar to Children of Men?

I saw a movie back in the 80s or 90s that was sort of like The Children of Men. It was deeper in the future with a more devastated world. Some sort of mercenary or bounty hunter was hired to get a woman to a boat. The woman was either pregnant or had a fetus in cryogenic stasis (the world had the same infertility problem as they did in Children of Men). In the end, they get to the boat, which is full of French-speaking scientists.
