How to keep jacket from collecting lint?

I have a nice peacoat that I wear to school, but I have to carry it around with me for two cl periods.I usually set it on a desk, but even then it collects hair and fuzz. And I'm not going to carry a lint roller with me.. What can I do to keep it from getting all gross?
