The plate on my lip piercing stud is 'entering' my lower lip's skin.?

It sounds like who ever pierced your lip used a labret that was not long enough to accommodate the swelling. the best thing to do is to keep an eye on it. if it gets worse, or painful then remove it. if you are more concerned then go back to the piercing artist and show them whats happening and tell them your concerns.
