Do you think I handled my situation correctly?

There's this guy from NJ that Ive liked for a few years (I live in NY) and we've been talking on and off for a few years, I always wanted to make him my bf but there was always an excuse for why not on his part. So I sucked it up and continued as we were, but eventually ended up dating other people to move on, but always ended back with this guy. Long story short I even left my last bf due to empty hopes and promises this guy give me, and I found out through facebook that he's been talking to this girl from FL who he's never met like crazy always flirting and shes always commenting how she loves him, calls him her future husband, befriended his brother and best friend calling them her future brother in law and cousin, etc. Gross, and they encourage her, I confronted him about it and says shes no one just strictly facebook friends. Yet she makes it clear they talk on the phone and f.b. all the time, marks him as her property and one day says she cant wait to meet her future husband soon, when he comes to hang out in FL for vacation. Today I got fed up with lies from him telling me he likes me and all, shes no one, him wanting to "hang out" this week yet been so flirty with his *future wife* online. So I commented on that girl, and my guy's best friend's picture that they together in FL this week (best friend there visiting and hanging with that girl for the first time) and said "And that's why your "future husband" is trying to "chill" with me 2 in the morning and today? ;] **** you Jose trying to play games with me and this girl, I'm done peace. The best friend tried to save my guy's behind by calling me a liar and the girl commented wow that's all I have to say. I'm sad at the fact that I truly liked this guy and I most likely lost him forever but relieved that I killed his game trying to play me and her. Now I can start the healing process and hopefully meet a guy one day that isn't a dill hole lol. what do you guys think?
