Cute ways to wear *oversized* flannel?

I have this big flannel shirt that's electric blue and neon yellow. I picked it because I heard flannel was in and the colors made my eyes pop, but I need ideas on how to wear it without looking frumpy and hobo-ish (thumbs up for my new word). This shirt looks weird all by itself and I don't know what to wear under it. Is there any accessories I can add (belts, necklaces, etc.) that I can add to make it look cuter? What kind of pants? *Note: It's fall, so I wanna stay warm! Ooo, and BTW, I'm 14 so make sure it's "school appropriate." THANK YOU MUCH!! lol
